Purani Jeans

Purani jeans aur guitar
Mohalle ki vo chhat
Aur mere yaar
Vo raaton ko jaagna......

I Love this song. It just reminds me of how much fun it is to be in college. With your friends and “Partners in crime”. I mean I always used to laugh at my mom when she would tell me that I am going to miss my college days when I start working and when I wont have the time to goof off like I am doing now. I always would mock her saying, “College is soooo borring (exaggeration at its best). I’m never going to miss it”.

Now I know what she was talking about..

Pahunchna college hamesha late
Vo kehna sir ka
“Get out from the class!”
Vo bahar jaake hamsha kehna
Yahan ka system
Hi hai kharaab
Vo jaake canteen mein
Table bajaake
Vo gaane gaana
Yaaron ke saath

Recently I just met my friends from my school and I don’t know when but all of us just started reminiscing about the time we spent together at school and how much fun we had. How I was always the ’shy’ one and everyone thought I was ‘Arrogant’!! How we irritated the teachers….I mean as soon as we got on to the school subject it was very difficult to get us to stop!!!

I was just thinking when I was in school I would always call school boring and also I would think that the day I get out of ‘it’ I would never think about it. Now I find myself thinking about it every now and then. Sometimes I just feel I want to go back and relive that time again. With new beginnings….

Bas yaadein
Yaadein reh jaati hain
Kuchh chhoti
Baatein reh jaati hain
Bas yaadein..

Now I no longer mock my mom when she shares her memories. I am going to enjoy my college life to the fullest. I also want some great memories. In the future when I sit with my child I want something that I am pleased to tell him or her…like my mom and dad do…

Why do memories always tend to bring tears to your eyes?? Even if the ARE happy memories…

Well Such is life’s diaries…
