The perfect smile...
Perfection is a thing of the present. Perfect people. Perfect situations. Perfect life. Perfect expectations. Perfect disappointments. Everything should be perfect. The actors now a days, perfect. Perfect hair. Perfect body. Perfect smile. Perfect everything. These perfections create perfect expectations for people. People want to be perfect. Want perfection around them. Academics – 99.9% - perfection. Everything is about perfection. But perfection, is a thing of the present.
All these old stories and movies, nothing was perfect, but that was beautiful. It still is beautiful. Actors weren’t perfect, they had scars, and they were heavy. They didn’t have six pack abs, they didn’t take their shirts off again and again, they didn’t wear really short barely there clothes. They did nothing. They weren’t perfect, but they are still considered beautiful. Academics – first class – perfection!!!
The truth is, we are all flawed..some way or the other. We are flawed. We have scars, and sometimes they are physical. We are not people with perfect bodies or a perfect smile or even a perfect test score. Our whole life, we strive for perfection and we forget to enjoy the flaws. We forget that it is the flaws that make us who we are. If these flaws weren’t there, we would be clones! A couple of clones who drone. People aren’t perfect and that is how they are supposed to be. The obsession with being perfect or having perfection around you is another imperfection! It makes you snarly and grumpy and more than anything it makes you see all the wrong things.
So stop, stop striving for perfection, instead just take a deep breath and discover the perfect flaws in you and the people around you. When you love and accept those flaws, you will smile and that would be a PERFECT SMILE.
